The Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) formed on October 27, 1949. at the home of Mrs. Charles Hugh Todd, Jr. Women who had been members of the organization in other cities formed the nucleus for the Beaumont chapter. The collection consists of ten scrapbooks. They contain newspaper clippings recounting club activities, as well as photographs, correspondence, and other memorabilia.
