The Melody Maids were a girls' choir which traveled the United States and the world to perform for military bases from 1942 to 1972. Led by Eloise Rush Milam, the Melody Maids learned not just music, but also decorum and manners. Neches River Festival Programs
The Neches River Festival was conceived on May 3, 1947, when Mr. Caldwell McFaddin, President of Beaumont's Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Clarence DeBush, Executive Vice President and Secretary, discussed plans for the betterment of Beaumont and the Chamber of Commerce. This collection contains five boxes of Neches River Festival Programs and related materials in chronological order in the conclusive years 1949 to the present.
