Scope and Contents
This collection consists of negative slides that were taken diuring her many travel trips. Countries visited include China, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Belize, El Salvador, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The images taken in China are especially extensive, including airports, a panda zoo, palaces, Forbidden City, Tianemen Square, hotels, factories, Hong Kong, and sailing experiences.

Biographical / Historical
Rogayle McGlothlin was born in 1940 and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. After graduating from high school, she soon married in 1960, her husband, Robert Benjamin Franklin. Shortly afterward, they moved to Beaumont were she became a business editor for the local newspaper, the Beaumont Enterprise. Thereafter, her journalistic skills led her to begin writing travel articles for several national magazines.
