Historical Note

The Junior League of Beaumont, a civic organization of women devoted to volunteerism, was first organized in 1937 with thirty-eight members. In 1945 the League joined the Association of Junior Leagues of America. The Junior League of Beaumont currently describes themselvbes as "an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable."
