Abstract Joseph Bryan Morris (1892-1982) was born in Hamilton, Texas and moved to Beaumont in 1917 after graduating from the University of Texas. He worked as a lawyer in Beaumont, most notably as an attorney for the Beaumont and South Park School Districts, as well as the Port of Beaumont and South Park Junior College (precursor to Lamar College of Technology, and later, Lamar University). Abstract

The South Park Heritage Museum Records is a composite collection of historical material compiled by the South Park community in Beaumont that documents its school district's heritage. The collection includes a vareity of materials including yearbooks, scrapbooks, programs, photographs, newsletters, reunion programs, film, and other memorabilia that encompasses the history of the school district, with an emphasis on the history of South Park High School.
